This is a list for me and Vintage to take a good look at and for most of the people on this forum to look at so they know what bands to avoid, but keep in mind that the genre's are shit, I figured as much when I saw so many supposed 'glam metal' artists but when I saw Skillet as Hard Rock/Symphonic Metal I decided to completely ignore the genre's and just listen to 'em all.

What are some embarrassing musical trends you had that you'd rather forget, but I'm making you recall. Before metal, I was a nu-metal fan: Disturbed, KoRn, SOAD and the like with alot of altern and hard rock and a bit of punk thrown in. For about...hmmm...a decade really. Listened to christian alternatives before that due to my parents: ie) POD, Skillet, Relient K, etc. I also had the really embarrassing high school faze where I delved into shitty hip-hop like *shudders* 3 6 Mafia, 50 cent (why, ...

Despite the long-winded title, this is a relatively simple question. What bands/artists do you still like that you have liked for the longest. Give a list if you'd like or however. Also, which bands in your top 10 have been in there for the longest?

Longest of Bands that I still like:

Vivaldi: ~18 years

Jars of Clay: 14-15 years

Metallica: ~12 years

~1998-2000 to present: too many to name, but including SOAD, Incubus, RATM, QotSA, etc.

Longest Running in Top 10:

My Mums used to listen to the above stuff until I successfully got her into symphonic and gothic metal. She doesnt like death and black though.

And my sister mainly listens to post-grunge, emo and J-pop. And Within Temptation. She also dislikes most metal.
