| I don't think I really need to introduce this band, do I? Epic, Viking-themed Melodic Death Metal. One of my favorites, any of you listen to Amon Amarth? My favorite albums by them are Versus the World, With Oden On Our Side, and Twilight of the Thunder God. | |

| I only have one song by them (Twilight of the Thunder God, which is a damn epic song) Can you recommend any? | |

| Valhall Awaits Me, Cry of the Black Birds, Death In Fire, Bloodshed (my personal favorite), Fate of Norns, etc. pretty much anything from Versus the World, Fate of Norns, With Oden On Our Side, and Twilight of the Thunder God, can't go wrong with those, their earlier stuff is pretty gewd too, but I'd say at least start with those albums | |

| Yeah they're a pretty unique band. Its one of those rare gimmicky things that actually works (the Viking thing that is). | |

| Yeah, their videos are pretty epic too.
And for gimmicky, check out the album art for Versus the World, it's literally a viking with a drawn sword attacking the Earth

| Amon Amarth have some pretty awesome album covers. Versus the World and Twilight of the Thunder God are both incredible. | |

| I know, Versus the World is possibly my favorite album art ever, I just love how literal it is And I've used the pic of Thor in the art for Twilight of the Thunder God as my avatar on various forums | |

| Indeed. It took me a while to just get it perfect so that it was just Thor and not the rest, though the ocean background gives a very epic feel to it, though I mostly use gif avatars, it's very good for forums that I'm new to, you can never go wrong with Thor | |

| They're barely Death Metal, so that probably explains it. Still, if you like them there's nor eason why you shouldn't like other Swedish Death Metal bands (think Soilwork). | |

| Soilwork is utterly terrible.
Best Amon Amarth release is Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds IMPO

| Give her a break, bro. Slipknot is the best band evar, and Amon Amarth is the only good Melodic Death metal band. Except for early In Flames (Like, Pre-Clayman) and Children of Bodom. Which are also decent. | |

| In Flames and COB are so bad it makes me puke.
At the Gates, Hypocrisy, Heartwork-era Carcass are good melo-death.
Not the power metal with screamed vocals that is CoB.

| COB makes me smile.
I believe that we have covered what AtG makes me want to do, and Hypocrisy sucks a black man's hairy tit.

| No, any melodeath band you don't like is clearly a good band, you proved that a while ago with At the Gates | |
