Though there is no excuse for forgetting Eluveitie. You need to write them down, thats what I do. I have a special little notebook I use to list the stuff I want to download.

"viking metal" isn't a genre. It's a lyrical theme.

Besides, everybody know that Tyr's Eric the Red is the best viking themed album of all time.

Tyr is terrible, for the record.

Tyr is good Viking metal, but Ragnarok is superior to Eric the Red in most respects, though Eric the Red is second best.

I would agree, but Ragnarok has too much filler to be better than Eric the Red.

Yeah, what Cthulhu said, it doesn't make it any better, it just makes it incomplete. Eric the Red is awesome throughout.

I really don't think there's that much filler in Ragnarok. Just because there are segues between the songs that are at times epic (Victory into Lord of Lies) doesn't mean there's not as much album as Eric the Red. In fact, there are just as many "full-length" songs. I rather like all the segues in Ragnarok myself. Not trying to debate it's better than Eric the Red as I like them both.

I just think it's a lot more enjoyable to listen to Eric the Red all the way through than Ragnarok.
