| Think a weird, technical, space-themed Morbid Angel. You'll be getting very close...actually, that's pretty much what it is. Excellent band regardless. The Key and Thresholds are my favorites. The Key has one of the best concepts for a concept album ever.

| I'm surprised more people haven't posted. I guess Nocturnus is somewhat of an unknown gem.
They're fucking fantastic, though. Early 90's oldschool brutal death metal.
One of the VERY first technical death metal bands ever. Totally sick.
And this is coming from someone who barely likes any tech death.
They've got some cool Alien horror-themed stuff.
Also, I'm nearly 100% sure Iced Earth totally ripped off this band. They played together in the same practice space w/ all the Florida death metal bands, too. | |

| Listen to the song "Arctic Crypt." Then tell me that Iced Earth didn't COMPLETELY rip off Nocturnus.
I know one is a death metal band and one is a power/thrash metal band, but Iced Earth totally ripped off the sound that Nocturnus came up with on that song. The riffs, the style, everything. | |
