Top 10 Death/Black Metal bands

I'm just cynical xD never liked Andrew Harris or his projects.

Thy Dying Light is extremely good, give that album a listen if Judas Iscariot doesn't wow you.

Evidently I fail at metal. I mean, it doesn't suck, but it's not really that great.

I don't think I've ever been anything but nice to that man.

I like VERY FEW black metal bands, and if I DO like them, they usually incorporate other genres into the style of bm they play. I really don't get everyone's complete and utter fascination(devotion even) with this subgenre...I'd say about 95% of the bands lumped into it suck total fucking ass. But that's just my opinion.

WOW....well, tbh, the only bands I mildly enjoyed were Arckanum, Dissection, and Ondskapt. Arckanum being the best or most interesting of them. I think the image all these bands project is a fucking joke however...it's like the polar opposite of contemporary Christian music, which is also a fucking joke. The music was the only saving grace of the bands I listened to...the lyrics for the most part were just bland and ridiculous. Oh well. Thanks anyways.

It occured to me as I was making this list that as I'm finding more bands I really like, I'm starting to like Black Metal more than Death Metal...fuck.

I was surprised by the number of good bands listed.

However I thought this thread would be about death/black metal bands as in bands that mix the two genres. Black/death metal has a long history after all.

But then I found out that it was just people listing death metal and black metal bands. Pity.

Judas Iscariot is pretty average at times, but he has some moments of brilliance.

Black/Death combo was a good idea, but it's rarely ever done exceptionally well...not in my experience, at least.

The only death/black band I like that I can think of is Teiranblood...

Meh, I suppose it depends on what you consider to be black/death.

This whole newer movement of bands like Behemoth that combine the genres just suck as far as I'm concerned. But a lot of older bands, and especially early on w/ a lot of black metal bands black/death was played, and well.

Then there's war metal. Which is fantastic, and it has elements of death and black.
Italy's Blasphemophagher is an excellent example. They're all the rage deep, DEEP in the underground extreme metal scene right now.
