| I still love Darkthrone. Little has changed about that. | |

| I've always loved Darkthrone, my appreciation for them has merely shifted. I like all of their albums now, each one has purpose. I don't think they've missed a beat in their entire discography. | |

| I've kinda shifted from the more black metal albums. Though Blaze is still fantastic. | |

| Yea Blaze is a masterpiece, but I tend to find myself listening to Katharsis' 666 album more than Blaze when I'm in the mood. | |

I agree completely. As I said earlier in this thread, they've excelled at pretty much everything they've done.

| Heh. It's funny that it took some people so long to figure out crust punk is fucking awesome.
I mean, crust punk and black metal are basically twins that grew apart. Early crust punk and early black metal are almost indistinguishable, except for lyrical content. Amebix, the first crust punk band, sounds almost exactly like Venom, the first black metal band. Even the vocals sound the same.
That's why it makes me happy to see that more and more black metal bands are embracing crust punk again, and more and more crust punk bands are embracing black metal again. Lots of blackened crust fusion bands out there now. I listen to quite a few.
