Hermh is a Symphonic black metal band from Poland, they formed in 1993 and they are currently in the pagan records label. They have a bit of a Tvangeste-ish sound to them, in my opinion.

Only got that album a couple of days ago, but the album Cold Blood Messiah has a similar sound throughout.

I like the clean vocals. Not so much the harsh ones...

Sounds like a bit of a Dimmu ripoff.

What's all this about? Symphonic Black Metal be one of my favorite genres.

Cthulhus a BM purist, and hates Dimmu, the most famous symphonic black metal band, so his opinion is fair enough.

Well I don't like Dimmu either, but I love most Symphonic Black Metal, I think all Black Metal should have some kind of symphonic or ambient elements to it, they just go together perfectly

Yeah, personally I'm not a big fan of just Symphonic Metal and Black Metal with nothing else thrown in, but the two fit together flawlessly...well, most of the time, no genre is without its flaws...

I quite enjoy symphonic metal but Im not keen on black metal and the combination helps some bands stand out to me.

No, I'm not a black metal purist, and I actually enjoy some Dimmu Borgir once in a while.

But, most symphonic black metal is closer to Gothic metal than Black Metal, and makes me think of this image over and over:
