| I was merely arguing from a compositional standpoint that even though classical can be slow, it is still much more compositionally complex. That was my only point and that trying to compare classical, avant-garde, and death metal in terms of which are "best" is pointless due to the distinct differences in how they're evaluated. | |

Yeah, I had figured you missed my point, so thought I'd make it much more clear haha. And yeah, my friend is composing one, and it's quite amazing, but I heard the first run-through and it's unrecognizable as the piece he wrote, so he had to re-write in order to make it sound just as complex without being so hard to play. One of the hardest parts about it from what he says, and I can believe it. I can't wait to hear how the re-write sounds though, because it's really quite a brilliant piece. Gonna be about 15 minutes long. | |
