Augury

Augury is a progressive/technical death metal band from Quebec, Canada. As of now, they have two albums. Concealed is their debut and it features a lot of soprano vocals in it mixed with all the death metal. Their newest one, Fragmentary Evidence which was released just earlier this year dropped the soprano singers. However they remained their unique style and even expanded on it.

I got into about 1:30 of the song, and until then it was "meh."

I don't think they can do any more wrong than put soprano singers in there.

Second, the sopranos kick ass. That's one thing that makes the first album so unique. I do like the new one better, but not because of the absence of sopranos. In fact, I actually miss those and was disappointed that the new album didn't have them. But Fragmentary Evidence is much more natural sounding, while with Concealed they were a little too much at times.

No, I bought Risk to complete my collection. It has yet to touch my stereo and probably never will.

They are unique, but so are Brokencyde.

I can make fart noises into a song, and that would be unique, but it would still sound like shit (literally).

I think the soprano singers sounded a bit out of place at times, but still enjoyed it overall

After listening to those songs, I do believe I need to listen to more.

Whenever there are female vocals it's like OMG I NEED MOAR WHEN DER R BANDS A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER WITH MALE SINGERS THAT DONT SUCK OR SOUND OUT OF PLACE.

To be honest, the female vocals in this are the only real drawback...

The music is also utterly boring, if that counts.

I rather enjoy some of it.

I'm with Knightfall on this one, female vocals are the drawback in this case.

Like I said earlier, they just seem really out of place.

Once again, assholes: if you don't like the sopranos, listen to their newest one Fragmentary Evidence. There aren't any operatic vocals on it.

Well it's not bad but the triggered drums sound horrible and the vocals are weak imo.

Love the instrumentals, like some of the vocals, tollerate the rest.

Overall, me likes band.
