On Phil's forum. I forget what we were talking about, but I said something like "I like Trivium better. You should really check them out. I just got Shogun and its really good." or something to that effect. Or maybe it was "If you like them, you'd like Trivium."
I don't remember, all I know is that I suggested it too you, and then like a week later you made a topic saying Zap had gotten you into them. Hmmm...really? I'd have to see it, cuz I remember Zap mentioning them in the V game there. Maybe that was you...I'd have to see the post where you first mentioned them again, it might be that I didn't have iTunes when you mentioned them, because when Zap told me about them I had just downloaded iTunes

- In other news, I'm almost done the album. These guys are awesome, I'm sorry for not listening to them sooner..
so far, my favorites are:
The Six The Mile Perception Sifting Through (You're right. This song is fricken amazing) Glaive The Six is more alternative at points, almost Breaking Ben sounding in places. would probably do the best on the radio of any of them. The Mile Perception is just fucking brilliant, end of story. Sifting Through, incredible song. Glaive, badass and one of the more brutal songs: "I'll stick my fucking foot so far up your ass you'll tie my shoes with your teeeth!" I think LED is my favorite still, brutal in parts and very well-constructive, combines alot of different elements with some badass parts. just incredible CD all-around though, not a bad song. I want another one though!!!

But I know it was you I said it too. Because the only people I liked and even talked to on Phil's forum were you and Phil. and Phil already knew about them.

| Yeah, I think I remember you mentioning them, but then I still had really shitty internet and didn't have iTunes, by the time Zap mentioned them, I had faster internet hooked up, had iTunes downloaded and had plenty of money from gift cards to spend, it was all timing I guess | |

| Trivium is too much like its thrash predecessors (Thrash has been around for roughly 20-30 years) to compare to a ground-breaking band like PTH | |

| Not really, again I explain, they only have a blatent thrash sound in The Crusade and have a blend of it amongst other styles in Shogun, really, they're reinventing the genres they play (of which there are several) | |

I missed the first part of this earlier. I've never understood where people come up with logic portrayed in this. Like you like nearly all Disturbed songs, right? So wouldnt 4 great albums > 1 great album? and likewise 4 great albums > one great EP? Because certainly you have way more Disturbed songs you like alot than EIR or TST? I dunno, I'm not you and I'm not in your head, but thats how I'd look at things like that.

| well, a brilliant, ground-breaking EP is better than 4 good albums, imo, especially if they are just starting out and likely to just improve. Potential has to count for something as well. now if they were to only ever put out an EP, then the 4 good albums may end up winning out, depending on the circumstances. I mean, Drowning Pool put out a brilliant album, but they never reached full potential due to a tragic death, yet remain one of my faves because of all that they were. (sorry DP is not the same band at all now. though the mixture of SOiL and DP is quite interesting, it needs development in the next album for me to truly appreciate). I would value DP over Blink 182, who have put out 4 good albums. (well, mainly one great one, one good one and 2 ok ones, but overall, 4 good on average. oh, and one i have never heard) | |

While I do see your point, four great albums ARE at #1 And yeah there's a lot more Disturbed songs I really like than EIR songs and TST songs, but I like the EIR songs and TST songs a bit more in general, but like I said, of those four, there isn't really one I like more than the other

| My new favorite by them is L.E.D.
Also, my best friend really likes them. He listened to them on my Ipod, and was hooked. He was all for switching Ipods for the day so he could listen to them, but I told him no. Hahaha.
