Last.fm had them as progressive, but they seem more metalcore than progressive to me. HUMONGOUS recommendation to Knightfall, as they sound a lot like Protest the Hero.

Metalcore and Deathcore are essentially the same thing, Metalcore just has more of a melody and clean vocals here and there whereas Deathcore is very sloppy (most of the time) and has pig squeals

BTBAM always gets compared to PtH. Always. I've still not really seen the direct comparison.

They're both metalcore, mathcore, and progressive... that's why they're compared a lot. It's just that PtH is much better at it.

PtH is in almost no way straight up Metalcore, Mathcore (or Progressive Metalcore) is a much more accurate description. This band in no way sounds ANYTHING like PtH, and is in no way Progressive anything, it's very clearly Metalcore.

Plus PtH rapes this band a couple thousand times over

Actually, they are progressive-y. I dunno what song I had heard previously, but when I saw them live they didn't sound anything like it. They weren't really -core anything. But they aren't similar to PtH, either.

I saw BtBaM a couple years ago with Dream Theater and Opeth. They were kinda boring live.

They are awesome on record though....
