| Ya got me at Folk Metal They're pretty good. I like their rhythm, and another band to add to the tiny list of bands I like with growling/screaming. | |

| Your fear of growling and screaming has really shut the door for a shit ton of amazing bands for you, a pity really
As for the band, I've only listened to a little, not bad, I'll have to listen more to give a full opinion

| It's not really a fear, it's more of a 'don't consider it really singing' thing. And actually, I've almost tripled the size of that list this week because of this site, what with PTH, TST, this band, and a couple others. | |

| It isn't singing, singing is singing, growling and screaming are vocal styles I'm glad to see Mayhem has helped you discover more music, spread da word | |

| Growling and screaming can be awesome. A vocalist's ability to be able to both sing and do growls/screams shows that he is a more diverse vocalist. I admire that more than someone who can only sing. Granted there are brilliant vocalists that don't scream/growl, but for a vocalist (like Todd Smith or Patton) who's able to go from lounge-style to death growl....it's just amazing, really. | |

I like Joe Garcia's range of screams and singing the most, I also like his screaming style better than just about any others I've heard. Another vocalist with great range in said catagories is Scar Symmetry's vocalist (his name escapes me at the moment), they'd probably be in my top 10 list if I'd ever get around to buying their albums...now that I'm thinking about it, I will be getting lots of money for my birthday tomorrow, perhaps I'll get them with it...back to the topic, I agree, vocalists that can do both well are great, I love the range, but some vocalists, frankly, do one much better than the other, take Matt Heafy for example, his melodic vocals are amazing, his screams and growls are a tad sub-par in comparison, and some other vocalists are reversed on that, it all depends, I'd rather have a vocalist that just growls and screams than one that does both and can scream and growl really well but not sing very well, it all depends on the vocalist, really

| Yes you need to buy Scar Symmetry's albums!!! The hell's wrong with you! But yes his range of screaming to singing is excellent in my opinion. | |

| Yeah, I rather am enjoying Vulture Industries' vocalist. He's a bit odd, which I rather like. Btw, not a big Eluveitie fan, though I love the instrumental diversity. | |

| Yeah their instrumentals is what drew me to them. The whole bagpipes, flute, you name it haha it mixes well and I do like the screaming as well so overall they're a new favorite for me. | |

I know, I'm definitely getting their albums, I'm not sure why I didn't when I first listened to them, because I've always thought their music that I heard was absolutely brilliant, but for some reason I never got around to getting it

| Unbelievable Knighty haha. Oh well, you'll be getting them soon enough.
Haimerej - My personal favs by them are "Morphogenesis" and "Slaves to the Subliminal"
I love all their stuff, but those are some that could definitely turn a non fan into a fan haha.

| Btw Phil, idk if you just listened to those 2 songs by Eluveitie and judged them by that or already heard them before but since it's the vocals that's a problem for you, they do have a female vocalist as well. She only sings on a select few of songs, but you may like them. Check out the ones below that I enjoy with her on vocals.

| I actually don't know yet haha. I'm sure there are but I like literally just got into them around the time I posted this. I heard a couple songs and decided to just download all their albums and have yet to listen completely through all of them. I'll be sure to let you know any others I come across with her singing. | |
