I will not make a list, as it's too hard.

It isn't that hard, just do what I did and choose the 5 bands that have the most epic win in them

Where should I start with them?

Well, the Where Dreams Turn To Dust EP gets the most acclaim, but pretty much anything is great, Under the Dying Sun is one of my favorites, but it's kinda difficult to find the actual album rather than the promo if you're looking for a download.

Can't really go wrong with any of it.

High On Fire can't be doom, I like them

They are awesome live. I had fun during their set. Hated the Converge and Mastodon sets.

Yeah, I was thinking about going to see HoF with Dethklok as it's the only metal show coming here until Megadave on Turkey day or so, but idk if I'd want to sit through Mastodon again

HoF is good, but not nearly as good as Sleep or Electric Wizard.

I don't really have 5 favorite doom bands yet, I'm abstaining from getting fully into the Doom genre as of yet, still too busy trying to get fully into Mathcore, Technical Death, Folk, and Symphonic/Power... will do Doom after those.

And if you want great Tech Death just ask

Mathcore? Isn't there only about 3 bands?

I'd say momentarily my favs lean more towards sludge/doom, but here goes:

1. A Storm of Light
2. Middian
3. Neurosis
4. Crowbar
5. This one is a toss-up between Dark Castle, Ramesses, and Doom:VS...hard decision. Dark Castle, I guess.
