Wtfru Listening to?

Yeah, AC is classic grind. Lots of earlier grind had more noise influence. There are also a ton of early grind bands that were all avant-garde and jazz influenced.

I just named those bands because they were all really influential to grind and death metal.
Can't believe you don't like Carcass, though. Early Carcass is so fucking awesome. Most people I know who are into any sort of undeground extreme metal or punk look at early Carcass as godly.

Oh, yeah, I also thought of two more SA bands. Both from Brazil. Mystifier and Holocausto. Both are somewhat well known as earlier extreme/black/thrash metal band.

I figured you might like Holocausto as they talk about Nazis and fascism a lot (they have a song about the KKK, too). From their stage names to their song names, they have a lot of stuff that evokes Nazi imagery. Their first album is called Campo de Extermínio and has songs about the Third Reich and extermination camps and shit. From what I've heard they slowly moved into doing crossover thrash and broke up in 1994. They got back together , though, and released an album in 2005 and it's back to their early black metal style. Holocausto is another band that people don't often realize was one of the first extreme/black metal bands ever.

I really hate Mystifier. How early are we talking with the Carcass? I haven't heard any of their demos but I think I've heard all their full-lengths at some point or another, and nothings wowed me.

Well, Carcass definitely evolved and changed wth every release, but generally everything by them is great. Most people will say everything up to Heartwork is fantastic. I agree, but I also like Heartwork, even though they did change their sound a lot for it and it was later influential to a lot of mainstream crap. But Reek of Putrefaction and Necrotism-Descanting the Salubrious were so fucking elite. Surprised you didn't like that stuff. I mean, it's just some of the most brutal savage stuff, even comparable to bands like Beherit or Bestial Warlust or w/e, but with the added technicality and melodic guitars. Usually I hate the melodic/technical stuff, because it can get all wanky and lame and loses that certain umph to it. Well, just a few bands, like Carcass or Destroyer 666, could be melodic/technical with their guitars and not lose any agreesiveness at all. Carcass is just so savage to me.

I listen to almost no rap. Just Immortal Technique's second album.

While I'm not going to make a broad generalization and say that all rap sucks, I will say that I have not enjoyed any of the rap that I've heard and would prefer that my ears never again be damaged by those insipid nigger beats.

My problem with rap is that even at its best it doesn't have much appeal after the first listen or so. Other than Immortal Technique and some CunninLynguists songs I have little use for it. It is simply an inferior genre.
